Biogas Upgradation via Data Driven Thermodynamic Modelling Experimental data driven thermodynamic modelling is highly promising for carrying out accurate simulations. Now, researchers from Chungbuk National University, Korea have utilized the electrolyte–nonrandom two-liquid model to evaluate the behavior of two amine systems: monoethanolamine/2-amino-2-methylpropanol and methyldiethanolamine/2-amino-2-methylpropanol aqueous solutions for biogas upgradation. The local and global sensitivity analyses reveal optimal process parameters necessary to obtain high biomethane purity, while ensuring lower heat duty. Going ahead, this could contribute to sustainable and environmentally friendly energy sources. Reference
