Founded in 1978, the College of Natural Sciences consists of School of Mathematics and Information Statistics ( Mathematics and Information Statistics), Department of Physics, Department of Chemistry, School of Biological Sciences (Biology, Microbiology and Biochemistry), Department of Astronomy and Space Science and two schools and four departments of Earth and Environmental Sciences.

Each department produces B.S. students who major in mathematics, information and statistics, physics, chemistry, biology, microbiology, biochemistry, astronomy and space sciences, earth and environmental sciences. We foster professional research personnel with master’s and doctoral degrees in nine departments of the graduate school connected with these departments and in the interdisciplinary program of research equipment development operated by the physics department.

The College of Natural Sciences aims to foster creative professional personnel that lead academic development by excavating future industries and by teaching and studying the theories of basic science that live up to the 4th Industrical Revolution Period and their practical application with the collaboration of the current three BK21 Plus Groups and two CK Groups.

After graduation, students are fully equipped with general education and have become international talents who are proficient in various majors and convergence studies so that they can work in various social classes.
