Educational Objectives

    Educational Objectives: The goal of this course is to educate Korean teachers who have good knowledge about Korean language education as well as personality and media literacy skills.
  • Fundamentals of language activities, grammar, and literature • Cultivating Korean language teachers with the ability to acquire basic knowledge and fully utilize their knowledge at the school site
  • Developing Korean language teachers who have learned the principles and working patterns of accurate and effective use of Korean language, cultivate the ability and attitude to creatively express thoughts and emotions, critically understand various types of Korean language data
  • Cultivate Korean language teachers who can create desirable Korean language culture by paying attention to various life aspects related to language
  • Cultivate talented Korean language teachers who can improve their ability to use multimedia in their classes and learn how to use the supplementary class by level.

Educational Contents

Courses are in line with the curriculum set for middle school Korean, covering fields such as educational studies on teaching Korean, Korean linguistics, ancient literature and contemporary literature. Theory is taught after which text books are researched along with methodology to gain practical experience. The field of Korean language studies focuses on the understanding of Korean expressions and grammar.

Literature courses offer a survey of literature and its history to serve as a basis that will guide more proactive research in the teaching of literature. In addition to these basic courses, small group workshops offer plays and musical performances and academic discussion.
