Medical Research Institute

Purpose of Establishment

The Chungbuk National University Medical Research Institute (CBUMRI) was established to carry out the research on medical science independently, to support the research activities of the College of Medicine of the Chungbuk National University, and to cooperate and exchange actively with other organizations inside and outside the Chungbuk National University, with other universities, companies, other institutes, and etc., so that the Institute ultimately could contribute to the development of the medical science of Korea.

Major Activities

The CBUMRI sets it the basic direction of the organization and its operation to carry out the following activities to achieve the purpose of establishment of the Institute.

• R&D for development of medical science and medical education
• Disseminating medical technology and training of high-ranked research humanpower
• Developing and suggesting related policies for improvement of national health
• Exchanging academic information and compiling academic data
• Researching on contracted service of external institutions
• Cooperating with related institutions at home and abroad
• Carrying out other activities related to the activities of the Institute
