Purpose of Establishment

CBNU Animal Biotechnology Institute (ABI) was established in 2002 within Chungbuk National University as a centre of excellence for biotechnology research on domestic animals, development of animal resources, and cooperation of government and private research sectors. The major goal of ABI is to promote and conduct high quality research in livestock animal species that will contribute significantly to the development of improved methods for efficient livestock production as well as providing scientific knowledge for animal biology and life sciences.
